WARDEN

WARDEN

Officially classified as the The Type-04 Optical Neural Interface (O.N.I.) Visor System, this mask is issued to elite shock troops. In this dystopian unit, absolute uniformity is used as a psychological weapon. The base chassis of every O.N.I. mask remains identical, stripping the operative of their human identity. On the battlefield, the only way to identify an operative's authority and function is through the color of their horns and the glow of their optics.

The Aegis Cranial Armor: Forged from thick impact resistant alloy, the upper half mask is built to withstand close quarters urban combat, blunt force trauma, and small arms fire protecting the operative's most vital neural hardware.

Tactical Optics and Command Structure: By stopping at the nose, the chassis deliberately leaves the operative's lower jaw exposed. Tactically, this allows Wardens to issue clear undistorted vocal commands over the chaos of a city riot without relying on external speakers. Psychologically, it perfectly marries unfeeling machine efficiency with the terrifying reality of a human enforcer.

COMMAND STRUCTURE (THE HORNS)

The Untested (Rookies): Identified by Matte Black Horns. Fresh out of training and unproven in live combat. Silver must be earned, until then, rookies operate as mere shadows.

Standard Infantry: Identified by Silver Horns. These are the frontline soldiers, moving in perfect, identical synchronization.

Sergeants & Squad Leaders: Identified by Gold Horns. These operatives direct the flow of combat and lead the silver horned infantry into the fray.

High Command: Identified by Deep Metallic Red Horns. A rare sight on the battlefield, the crimson horns denote absolute authority and command over entire battalions.

The Veterans: If an operative survives long enough, they transcend standard rank. Veteran masks are entirely unique to the wearer. Their horns may be heavily elongated, deeply engraved with kill counts, or shattered and broken off entirely from years of brutal close quarters combat.

OPTICAL LOADOUTS (THE LENSES)

Emerald (Green) / Standard NVG: The baseline loadout providing light amplification for night ops and urban pacification.

Crimson (Red) / Thermal & FLIR: Issued to Trackers, Snipers, and Breach Teams. Red optics indicate the operative is hunting via heat signatures.

Cobalt (Blue) / Data Link: Issued to Drone Operators and Comms Officers. Blue lenses feature an internal heads up display projecting tactical maps directly into the user's retinas.

Amber (Yellow) / Hazmat: Heavily tinted to protect against flashbangs and chemical environments. Usually seen on close quarters shock troops.

Void (Blacked Out): Pure daytime operations or absolute stealth. No light emission, no reflections.

THE WARDENS (URBAN MILITARY POLICE)
Inside the massive walls of Morrigan, the city is a strictly controlled sanctuary ruled by absolute authority. The law is upheld by an endless identical army of foot soldiers known as The Wardens. They are the iron fist of the government, they patrol the crowded streets, crush civilian uprisings, and fight the governments wars. Wearing their fearsome ONI visors, The Wardens strip away their individuality to become a faceless unyielding wall of armor, to the citizens trapped inside, they are a constant terrifying reminder that the city is just a heavily fortified prison.
